Spoken Portraits: The Window 

"Spoken Portraits has been a journey through Tilburg, exploring the experiences of the people who bring this city to life. It’s been a path of interpreting our surroundings and the people around us through conversations, threads, colors, and flavors." At the beginning of this journey, Laura Méndez and her participants met four inspiring individuals, whose stories led to four portraits and four collective encounters,  the Craft Teller’s Rooms, where together they embroidered, shared ideas, and connected from a place of sensitivity and creativity.

Now, The Window will be open to share this journey during an exhibition on December 6th at the International Center Tilburg, from 1 PM to 5 PM. You’ll find the photo portraits from the interviews, the stories that emerged from them, and the original paintings and embroideries, which will remain open to be collectively worked  throughout the day.
