More than film

Every edition, we organize something extra before or after the film. This way, you can connect with the international community and experience an evening filled with more than just film. This time we start off with a "borrel" wearing Christmas sweaters! To spark the Christmas festivities pick the most funky sweater you got! Afterwards we join a short introduction to the film Die Hard, watch the movie and settle on the big question once and for all: Can we call Die Hard a christmas movie? Let's find out and cast your vote after the film!

About the film

Die Hard is a 1988 action film written by Jeb Stuart and Steven E. de Souza. It's about a gang of dangerous terrorists brutally disrupting the Christmas party of John McClane, a New York detective, and his wife. The lives of several innocent people are in the hands of the tough police officer...

The main roles are played by Bruce Willis, Bonnie Bedelia, Alan Rickman and William Atherton. The film was directed by John McTiernan. The film is based on a 1979 novel written by Roderick Throp called Nothing Lasts Forever. That book is a sequel to the book The Detective, which in turn was made into a film in 1968 starring Frank Sinatra.

Films accessible to all

This event is organized by International Center Tilburg in collaboration with Cinecitta. Both want to provide cinema to internationals living in Tilburg. Therefore, the entire program will be in English and films will have English subtitles (or will be English spoken). Cinecitta is a local arthouse cinema that also organizes an International Film Festival every year.
