International Cinema: Minari

International Cinema originates from a collaboration between arthouse theatre Cinecitta and International Center Tilburg to provide the international community of Tilburg with English language film and/or subtitles. Film titles are carefully chosen and this time we especially show the great Oscar nominee Minari. Will you join us? Afterwards there is a nice "borrel"where you can get to know us and others better.

Nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director—it won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for veteran Korean actress Youn Yuh Jung’s unforgettable turn as the grandmother—‘Minari’ draws on director Lee Isaac Chung’s childhood to tell of a Korean immigrant family who move from California to the Ozarks of Arkansas to start a farm.
