Local politics directly affects your daily life in Tilburg. Think about housing, accessible information, healthcare, public transport, sustainability, safety, education, cultural activities, and community initiatives. Even if you are not Dutch, your voice can matter.

During this information evening, we will explain:

• How local government in Tilburg works

• Who can vote in municipal elections

• Why voting is important, especially for internationals

• How local political parties differ from each other and the chance to ask representatives of different parties questions about their vision on certain topics

We aim to make Dutch local politics understandable and accessible. No prior knowledge is required. Whether you are new to the Netherlands or have been here for years, this evening will help you better understand how decisions are made and how you can take part.

There will be space for questions and discussion, and you’ll leave with practical information about how and when to vote.
