About the abbey

Abdij Koningshoeven, nestled in the Netherlands, is a serene Trappist monastery renowned for its rich history and dedication to brewing exceptional Trappist ales. The abbey, founded in 1884, boasts picturesque surroundings and a tranquil atmosphere conducive to contemplation. Visitors can experience the monastery's brewing legacy at the "proeflokaal," where a variety of meticulously crafted beers are offered, providing a taste of the monks' centuries-old brewing tradition in a welcoming and authentic setting.

Tickets and information

We will gather at the entrance at 14.00. We are only visiting the garden with the cafe, so if you want to go on an excursion, you can book it seperately via their website. Once we've gathered, we will share information about the history of the abbey and the beer brewing. See you there!
