International Cinema: Nomadland

International Cinema originates from a collaboration between arthouse theatre Cinecitta and International Center Tilburg to provide the international community of Tilburg with English language film and/or subtitles. Film titles are carefully chosen and this time we especially show the great Oscar winner Nomadland. Will you join us? After the economic collapse of her business in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) takes a bus to explore the world as a modern nomad. In Nomadland, Chloé Zhao's third feature, true nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells play the mentors and friends who support Fern as she explores the American West. Nomadland is the winner of two Golden Globes: for Best Picture (Drama) and for Best Director (Chloé Zhao).
